Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
I recently got a ticket for 76 in a 55 in North Carolina. In talking to a local resident, was informed of a plea of Prayer for Judgment (PFJ). I am a resident of VA and want to know if I am granted the PFJ how will it effect my DMV record and insurance. I have 5+ points on my driving record and no tickets or accidents.

As long as the so-called Prayer for Judgment does not operate as a conviction
under the law of North Carolina(which apparently it does not), it should have no effect whatsoever on your Virginia DMV record, but could possibly have some effect upon your insurance premiums, depending upon the approach taken in that regard to PFJ's by your particular insurer.
