Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
Reckless Driving, should I challenge?
I was in a single-car accident where both I and the other passenger went to the hospital. The car was totaled, and we both were tested at more than twice the legal limit. The officer gave me a ticket for reckless driving. My questions are how do I get the police report, should I get an attorney or would this incite the officer to change the charge to DWI, and how can I best ensure I can get deferred ajudication?

Re: Reckless Driving, should I challenge?
Better get a lawyer to get informal discovery of the police reports and any other relevant information from the local prosecutor's office, including a copy of the certificate of analysis, and to represent you in a manner on this charge that is likely to ensure that you emerge with minimal adverse impacts from this incident.
