Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
In Richmond, VA -- can a police officer give you a ticket for "driving on a suspended license" if you only verbally ADMIT to doing so? You were not in the vehicle, you were not driving the vehicle -- you were sitting on your front porch a block away from the vehicle.

Sure, since it's only a misdemeanor offense, but then this begs the question, so
to speak, as to why you would've admitted to the offense
under these circumstances?
