Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia

sailor soldier relief act and dealing with a bond

ok, i went to jail 3 days before i deployed, the right paper work wasnt filled out to get a continuance, so i missed my court date, which in turn i had to pay the bailbondsman for, 3000 dollars. now in the reliefe act i read that i can not be held responsible for bond sureties as long as i can prove i was deployed, or missed the court date because of the military, is this true, and is there anything i can do to get that money back since i allready paid him and have not yet returned home.

See the JAG officer assigned to your unit who should be able to advise you about the bail bond money and your rights under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act(as it is now known).
