Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia

Seizures

My daughter had a seizure 3 months ago and has not been driving since. We recently found out that her license is not restricted and legally she can drive. She will be 18 in July and is fighting to drive, but we are concerned about the liability if she were to cause an accident. Since her license is not restricted, are we still legally liable if she gets in an accident?

Re: Seizures

I can't give you legal advice in an online forum, but here is my opinion:

You should get clearance in writing from her doctors before she drives again. And make sure the doctors did not report this to DMV, etc. While I don't think you would necessarily be liable (unless there is something I don't know about), yes, you could be sued by someone she harms.
