Speeding ticket, but officer lost sight
I was told once that if the officer looses sight of you after he sees you speeding but before he turns on the lights that he can't charge you due to mistaken car or something. Is this true?

The officer can charge such a speeder, but the case may not be provable in court if such mistake has actually occurred.
