Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia

Out of State Ticket Reckless Driving

I was pulled over in Virginia - in Botetourt county, just outside of Roakoke for speeding. As I was going over 80 I was given a summons for reckless driving. My court date is in September. I attend school in PA, but reside in FL (would be traveling to court from PA). Attending the court date is not the problem. I have never been in a situation like this and am unsure how to proceed, ie. plea, legal representation, etc.

Re: Out of State Ticket Reckless Driving

Given your inexperience with these kinds of matters(which can work in your favor), and the fact that reckless driving is considered a criminal (and therefore jailable)offense in the Commonwealth, you should have, if at all possible, a Virginia attorney representing you in this matter.
