Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia

I was stopped in Dinwiddie, VA going South on Highway 85. The officer said he clocked me at 84 in a 70 zone. I was driving my car (speedometer seems to be right) on cruise control at 78 mph. I was in the left lane (classic trap location) and saw the front of his cruiser. There was a car on my right (two lane road) that was accelerating past me and one car behind me. I was not able to get over to the right lane which is something I traditionally do when I see a speed trap. The officer rolled out of his spot and then followed traffic for about 300 yards and then put his lights on and pulled me over. This qualifies as a reckless driving incident, and that is what he wrote on the ticket. I live about three-four hours north of Dinwiddie so getting to court in person would be quite difficult on a morning rush hour work day. I have a completely clean driving record. Do you have any advice as to the best way to proceed? Many thanks.

Do not plead guilty nor otherwise allow yourself to be convicted of

reckless driving (driving in excess of 80 mph) which is a criminal misdemeanor offense in the Commonwealth, even if you have to hire a Dinwiddie County local

attorney to represent you in that traffic court down there.
