Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
I had stopped at an intersection, and I swear to god the light turned green, but the traffic beside me did not move. I had a cop behind me soon after, for whatever reason, but I did not get pulled over. Did I run a red light, and if so how would my story stand up?

No, if the cop didn't stop you under the circumstances described, you can have some reasonable level of confidence that you didn't run the red light (I would think).
