Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
If I was stopped for a traffic violation and the 2nd officer(partner) in the car signed the signature area of the summons in the arresting officers name, is the ticket still valid? isnt a summons a legal document and signing someone elses signature is considered forgery without a POA? For instance I cant just sign my wifes name to any legally binding document and we've been married for 15 years.

No, your legal assessment of the matter is without merit(in my opinion). Better show up to answer the charge in the summons on the date and time and in the particular court specified.
