Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
Ticket not issued by officer
I got a traffic ticket for wreckless driving a few nights ago. The officer that pulled me over issued a sobriety test. However, after she did this, she left the scene and the officer that pulled up to assist her issued me the ticket. Is this legitimate and can I fight this in court?

Re: Ticket not issued by officer
Why wouldn't it be legitimate(one officer assisting another with a traffic stop)? And, yes, of course, you can contest the ticket(or summons) in traffic court.
