Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
Ticket from out of state.
If someone were to get a ticket in the state of Virginia for passing on the shoulder would the points be allowed to be applied to there DMV record in there home state of Maryland?

It depends on whether the two states have an interstate compact or agreement to share such information. I suspect they do, since they share a border, but I don't know for sure. The best way to find out is to ask the Department of Motor Vehicles in either or both states.
