Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
Underage driver without license, who got in accident in boyfriends car
Hello,
Recently my boyfriend let me drive his car. I don't have a license, and I'm also underage, 17 to be specific. While driving the car however, I hit a fence, and damaged the property. I was wondering if the penalties were going to be serious. I don't want to spend any time in juvenile detention. So should I get a lawyer. Also could u tell me how long it would be before I could get my license, and approximately how much my fine will be.

You haven't specified in your question, exactly, what you were charged with, if anything, by law enforcement officers.
