Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia

Valet Parking accident

I was waiting for my car to be returned to me at a hospital, when one of the valet parkers claimed that when he started my car, and put it in drive, my car just took off hitting another car in front of mine; he claimed that he hit the break but couldn't stop my car. Not possible...when my car was returned to the park space, the other valet parker, drove my car to the space it occupied, with no problem, the brakes worked then backwards and forward. The hospital security manager told the valet service to denying everything, they are claiming that my car is defaulted, and they are not a fault. I dont have insurance on the car until Friday all because I was in the process of swithcing insurance companies. My question is what should I do? This is my first accident, thats not my fault, and I haveno clud as of what to do.

Re: Valet Parking accident

Sue the hospital and their valet car parker in small claims court for your damages as long as they don't exceed $5000(jurisdictional limit for small claims).
