Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia
vehicle impoundment
my vehicle has been impounded as my boyfriend (without a license) was driving it. the judge will not give my vehicle back. it is my only method of transportation. i cannot afford to lose my job or pay the $1500 impoundment fee after 30 days. what should i do?

Ask the judge in writing for a reconsideration of his or her decision, mentioning, perhaps, mitigating factors in your favor which s/he may not have initially considered.
