Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

I am the administrator of my deceased mother's estate. My brother and I have inherited her house and we lease it out. I have a tax ID number for her since the property is still in her name, I wanted to know what and how do I go about filing her taxes from the mortgage, like the escrow etc.? I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing and abiding under the law.

The house now belongs to you and your brother, so each of you must report on your individual tax returns the income and expenses connected with the rental at all times after her death. The only figures that can go on your mother's tax return are those that represent the period before her death.
