As one of the beneficiaries of my Mother's life insurance policy, am I required to turn that over to the executor, so the funeral home expenses can be paid?

No, since the proceeds of such life insurance normally
pass directly to the beneficiary named in the policy outside of the
probate process and over which the executor has no authority nor control.
