Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

If my boyfriend has passed away and his daughter is trying to take our house, is there anything that I can do about it legally?

If the house was in his name only, it will go into his estate and if she is the sole heir, she will get it unless he left it to you in his will.
