Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia
College Expenses from an Estate
My husband's divorce decree states he will pay for four years of college for his son. If something happens to my husband, am I responsible for paying the tuition from my husband's estate? Am I responsible for the alimony to his ex-wife?

Your husband's obligation to pay alimony to his former wife would be extinguished simultaneously with his death.
As to your first question, a lawyer familiar with such matters would(in my opinion)need to review the decree, property settlement agreement incorporated therein, and the related facts in order to make a proper determination upon this particular issue.
