Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

death benefits

Is there a standard time limit for death benefits to be paid? If so, how long is it? I am a beneficiary and have submitted all required forms and wondering how long of a time limit I should allow before I start inquiry as to receiving benefits.
