Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

death and personal property estate

Son died.Left 2 girls by 2 women. Ages 18 & !5. Students.Only estate is less $500 jewerly and his tools. Owed bills. We paid funeral, Etc.Obtained tools for the girls. Autopsy & Death Cert. took $ mos. The 18 yr has had herself appointed adminstrator. Talking of suing us. He had borrowed #3500 to pay child support. Are we legally entitled to the funeral expenses, loan, etc if she does sue?

Yes, you should be, and, furthermore, you should not be deterred by the ignorant threats of the 18 year old ingrate who apparently has little regard for her grandparents.
