Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

Deed

Grandma & Grandpa owns property in VA. Both are deceased without a will. THey had 2 daughters at time of their death. Nothing was done about correcting the deed to them (we assumed it went straight to their 2 daughters). Since then, one of the daughters had pass away. Question is: Will the whole property belong to the remaining daughter or does it also go the deceased daughters children.

Re: Deed

No, apparently the children of the deceased daughter are entitled to proportional shares of what their mother inherited from the grandparents (one half interest in the property). See Va. Code Sec. 64.1-3
