Durable Power of Attorney
My Mother has recently suffered a stroke and is in a hospital in Washington, DC. I will be moving her to an assisted living facility in Virginia and selling her home which is in Maryland. Which state form should I use for a Durable Power of Attorney?

Truth to tell, it really doesn't make any difference. In most cases these powers of attorney are used in more than one state, especially in this area, for the reasons you have already seen. You do need to make sure your power of attorney gives you the specific power to sell your mother's home, if you will be doing that under the power of attorney.
