The laywer come to find out was disbarred and nothing has been done to close the estate. Does the county close it after so many years? How does that work after 13 years?

Re: Estate/probate question

Closing the estate, or do you mean opening one? You should check with the clerk of the probate court to determine the status of the matter, and then arrange for a consultation with a local attorney who practices in the area of probate and estate matters and who should be able to further advise you as to what may now need to be done to properly conclude this matter.
