Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia
Executor Fee-Virginia
I was placed as executor of my step-brother's will. He died in 1990 and his estate is still unable to be closed. I have taken a lot of time with managing his estate and have not taken any fees for my services. I was told as executor I could but not sure what amount if allowed in VA. Any help?

Re: Executor Fee-Virginia
I believe that in the Commonwealth permissible executors' fees run somewhere between 2 and 4% of the value of the estate.
