My father passed away with only money in the bank he had a single account, does my mom get the account or is it split between heirs? He has children from he first marraige and had no visitation right for over 40 yrs?

Assuming no will, the surviving spouse of the deceased should be eligible for one third of the bank account funds and the children from the prior marriage two thirds.

Of course, if this spouse was a joint holder on this account with the deceased, she should be entitled to all the funds in the account.
