Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

My friend entrusted his vehicle to me while he was in the hospital. I have had it locked in my garage since then. Unfortunately, he passed away and he did not have a will. Now , his grown children are fighting over who gets the vehicle. Should I continue to house the vehicle until a judge makes a decision or should I give it to whoever comes asking for it.

Seems to me you are in a position that would require you to sarfeguard the car on behalf of your friend's estate until someone qualifies as his "administrator" to administer the estate absent any will. When an administrator is qualified by the probate office, you can safely turn the car over to him or her.
