my friend is listed on a will with both his aunt and his father the house has not yet

sold and my father has recently passed away my question is who is intitled to his fathers portion his father's wife or him

If your father passed away it will have no effect on your friend's inheritance. If you mean his father passed away, his father's will determines who gets his estate. If his father has no will, it will likely go to his father's wife unless she is not your friend's mother; in that case it will be divided between your friend's father's wife and your friend's father's children.
