Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia
Grandfathers house
My grandfather passed away many years ago.In a will he had made, the house was to be mine & that my grandmother would have a life time home. My grandmother has been bedfast for a while now & her son bought her a new house because the other has been getting worn down. The familey wants to go ahead & turn the house & property over to me. Would there be any problem with this. Also none of there children or any member of the familey will contest this. Thank you for your time.

Re: Grandfathers house
The house cannot be turned over to you(meaning giving complete title in fee simple to you unencumbered by a life estate to your grandmother) unless your grandmother approves of it and to the extinguishment of her life estate in the property and is willing to sign the deed allowing for such a conveyance.
