Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

my grandmother died in october. her son is the executor. she left my brother and I each $2500 dollars. My uncle filed her will in october also but has yet to tell us about he money she left us. How much time does he have to inform us.

There is no particular time by which the executor must inform you of

your inheritance, but if the will has been filed with the probate court, you

should be able to obtain a copy of it from the clerk's office.
