Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

If an individual age 30 is on welfare receiving food stamps, subsidized housing and medical insurance, will they lose benefits if they receive a small inheritance ($10k) from a family member? What if the inheritance is put in a trust fund for the minor children of the benificary till they reach age 18?

If the inheritance were put in a trust naming the children as beneficiaries

and not available to them until they become adults, it's very

unlikely that it would have any effect upon the benefits you've described

(in my opinion).

However, as to the first part of your question, I don't

know the answer and would suggest that the individual involved check with his or her caseworker.
