Six people have inherited property, one is taking it upon himself to charge rent of a relative, and some don't agree. How is it determined if he has the right to charge?

That's the problems with six people owning the same property; unanimity as to how it is to be used can be difficult to achieve. If the owners cannot agree, then those who are in disagreement should have their respective interests in the property bought out by the others or else the property must be the subject of a partition suit(or sale in lieu thereof)in the local circuit court, and when the property is sold as a result of a court order, the proceeds of the sale would be divided among the owners of record.
