Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

My Mom pass away in Va..and she left me in her will and have not gotten anything yet..What do i need to do to file it in court..Do not have the $$ to hire a lawyer unless they willing to do a contingency.And if they are any where do i find them

There's a lot you can do without an attorney. If you have the original of the will, go the the Probate Office in the Circuit Court where she died and qualify as executor. If she named someone else as executor and that person has probated the will, let them know in writing you want a copy of everything they file in the probate office. If the executor does not cooperate, complain to the probate office and/or the Commissioner of Accounts.
