Do parents ever mandate that a child has to be married before receiving his or her inheritance? If so, why?

Why, of course, the testator, i.e., the maker of the will can mandate in his or her will just about anything s/he wishes which is within the
bounds of the law which most certainly includes the condition for which
you have apparently manifested an obvious dislike.
