If a person dies during the period of a lease, what happens to the leased property?

If you mean the owner/landlord of the property subject to this
lease, then it would likely pass to the estate of the decedent
to be appropriately disposed of by the designated administrator/executor
of this estate along with the rest of the decedent's estate assets.
