Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

i have a property that i have partial ownership by gift of deed from four of the 17, but the others don't want to give up their portion nor do they want to pay taxes, the house is in great disrepair but i am ok with it, it is repairable but without the other heirs off the deed i can not us it as collateral for a new roof or any thing can i sue them for their part of back taxs which i am paying at the time

Yes, you should be able to sue for these taxes which may induce these

sluggards to negotiate a sale of their respective interests in this property

to you. (Maintaining joint ownership of a deteriorating property by 13 separate individuals who are not cooperating makes neither legal nor practical sense.)
