Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

I need to send a letter requesting an accounting of an estate since the executor has had no recent contact. Are there any terms/phrases that I should include and anything that I should not say.

Detailed annual accountings are required to be submitted to the Commissioner of Accounts beginning on the 16th month after the executor is appointed. The executor is required to send a copy of the accounting to every person of interest (beneficiaries and heirs) who makes a request in writing. Be aware that the requirement is only for annual accounting.
