Simple Will & Testament

Does a simple Will and Testament without a trust in state of Virginia have to be noterize ? There is only three surving children born to my Mother that is leaving all assets to be split equally among the children.

Yes, a simple will and testament must be signed by at least two witnesses and the testator before a notary public to conform with the Commonwealth's statutory requirements for recognizing such a document as having legal validity.
