Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

My sister passed recently and in her will she left her condo to her a friend John. He is currently staying at the condo. The contents of the condo are to split between several family members. All of my sister's personal papers are in the condo. How do we keep John from going through all the papers? Can we ask him to leave until he actually inherits the property? I am a beneficiary as are my wife and children

Friend John, having been named a beneficiary in your now deceased sister's will, already holds equitable title to the property and therefore, no, could

not be required to move, even temporarily (in my opinion).
