Does a spouse with assigned power of attorney have the legal right to change the beneficiary on their spouse's life insurance policy while that spouse is on their death bed.

A person holding power of attorney for another has a fiduciary duty to act in the best interests of the grantor of the power, and is not permitted to use the power to benefit him/herself.

Trying to change the beneficiary of a life insurance policy for a person on their death bed is extremely likely to result in challenges.
