Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

Last surviving parent died Oct 9 2012.She had drwn up a paper giving me lifetime rights.My brother kept will til last month before showing it to me.There is one other sibling.Is there anything I need to do before a certain date to insure that my brother can't sell the house and divide monies.Also he withdrew a safe deposit box and we were not shown contents.What can I do about this?Thank You.

Go to the probate section of the circuit court in your jurisdiction and either probate the will or ask the court to require him to probate the will; then require an inventory of the safe deposit box contents.
