Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia
Wills
I had a will done during my first marriage. It was never addressed at the time of our divorce, but does the divorce supercede the will in any way or is that will still in effect? I have remarried and want to make sure that my second wife is beneficiary of my estate now.

Re: Wills
If the divorce was in Virginia it will cancel any provision you may have made for your ex-wife; she will be treated as having predeceased you. You can also destroy the prior will, or execute a new will revoking the prior will.
