Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

last year my grandmother who raised me from a baby gave me a the last will and testomony of my grandfather who died a few years ago..1 This stated that upon his death grandmother would inherit his estates and would be exec of state 2. upon her death the estate would go to me and my mother.......my grandmother took grandfather name off all accounts and the deed......I have been told by my mother the will is no good because grandmother removed grandfathers name from eveything..so she is the sole air..... i think im being lied too.. Is his will still good

It depends on the exact language of grandfather's will; if he left everything to grandmother without restriction, any language in the will that attempted to pass the estate on to you and your mother would be ineffective. On the other hand, if he left his estate to grandmother in trust, with the trust estate to go to you and your mother, you and she should inherit on the death of grandmother.
