Re: Employee Injury

The employee is responsible for filing

the claim for workman's compensation.

He has two years from the date of the mishap which allegedly caused the injury to file the claim. Your responsibility as the employer is to respond to any inquiries either from the insurance carrier or the Commission regarding the accident and to make sure that any workman's compensation insurance coverage for your employees which you are required to have is paid up and in force.
