Legal Question in Workers Comp in Virginia

Employer Ethics...

I work for a small company where i used to make 30k salary. When i requested to work hourly they pay my $13.00 an hour.

I divided 30k by 12 = 2500

Dived 2500 by 2 = 1250 (biweekly)

1250 divided by 80hours = 15.625 an hour.

My boss divided my 1250 by 90 = $13.88 an hour.

My question is:

Can they divide my hours by have my working hours to be 90 or in other words 45 hour weeks. I currently work hourly and am being paid $13.00 an hour.

thanks

Re: Employer Ethics...

Yes, unless you're working under the protection of an employment contract which covers the particular issue of compensation, your employer can pretty much decide the terms of your compensation and how it is to be calculated and irrespective of whether you agree with it or not.
