Legal Question in Workers Comp in Virginia

fell on employer property

Yesterday, coming up steps of employer brick platform style), fell in a pattern of missing bricks. Went to hospital emergency room, contusions on knee and hand. Question: had not arrived at workstation due to injury. Is this still workmans compensation or what?

Re: fell on employer property

The fact that you were not actually at your assigned work station when you were injured should make no difference at all; you clearly were on the employer's premises reporting to work when you were injured and with the status of an employee who is presumably covered by workman's compensation insurance.

That should be quite enough for you to submit your claim.
