Hurt and Fired!!!!!!!!!!!

i am a nurse, hurt my back at work preventing a patient from falling. am going to the Dr. and Pt,. Dr. wants a MRI, still in great amounts of pain all day. i was put on suspension and then fired for an incident that happened weeks before my injury and termination. Am on light duty per M.d. workman's comp is refusing to pay lost wages but no one will hire a nurse with restrictions what do i do? this just doesn't seem right to me.

If the incident that caused your termination occurred before your accident, then it should have no impact on your Claim for Benefits. You indicating you are on Light Duty Work restrictions per the doctor's orders. You can file a claim for workers compensation benefits provided (1) you show you are on work restrictions due to this injury and (2) you show you have done a Job Search for Light Duty Work within your restrictions and have not been able to find such work. This Job Search means filing 5 job applications per week and filing with the Virginia Employment Commission Job Service.
