Legal Question in Workers Comp in Virginia

no pay

I have been on worker's comp for 2 years now. suddenly my checks have stopped with no explanation as to why. Is it a law that if the insurance company stops my checks then are they required to give some kind of a settlement? My drs have not released me to go back to any kind of work
