Legal Question in Workers Comp in Virginia
Statute of limitations for a possible case
My friend discovered, during an eye examination, that he
could no longer wear contact lenses because of a possible permanent eye injury (any irritations to the eye will cause foreign substance in the eye a deprivation of oxygen to the cornea == continued irriation = blindness). he has strong
suspicions that the cause is from a former workplace where
there was little ventilation to the noxious fumes and pollution, and long hours working there. If he has a possible case, can he still file for worker's comp? How long does he have to file?

Re: Statute of limitations for a possible case
The usual statute of limitations is two years from the date of the accident and if an occupational disease two years from the date of diagnosis of the disease.
