Re: W/C Award Order
A WC award just means that your weekly comp payment is being ordered and your lifetime medical benefits is being ordered. This weekly award can of course be settled by a lump sum settlement Order. A weekly WC award is necessary for one to get weekly payments.
Before entering into any type of final settlement one should obtain advice from an experienced workers compensation attorney. Of course, if you recover 100% from the injury, there will be no settlement.

Re: W/C Award Order
The award and settlement are two separate matters. Sometimes there are settlements regardless of whether there is a full recovery or not, and some payments are made without benefit of a specific award. You should have an attorney advise you about settlement, rather than taking a small settlement offer on your own. I would be happy to review the letter, free of charge, if you like or feel free to contact me if you have other questions. Good luck.
